Fence Painting, Piggy Banks & PopPop

PopPop came for a visit in April.  He was put to work immediately (as usual!) at painting the fence.  Unfortunately or maybe fortunately....the weather did not agree.  But we were able to kick back & relax, have our afternoon coffee & cookie breaks (Eri & Leona love this), hit up the Museum of Science in OKC, & have fun times with PopPop!
This is seriously a great tradition PopPop & Grandma started, or I should say, continued.  This is something my dad remembered his grandfather had done, when he was younger.
Not only is it teaching Eri & Leona how important it is to "feed the pig",
but how else do you get kids to love you?!?
Give them money, of course!

Leona loves PopPop.
But she also is afraid of the monstrous tree fort with various jungle sounds at the museum.
At least PopPop will hold her & keep her safe.

No, we will not be getting Eri a drum set.
It was very hard to peel him away from this cool setup.

One of the few sunny days we had (PopPop did actually get to paint the fence just behind them).
Leona was having fun playing with PopPop & swinging (upside-down) on the swings.  Tucker just liked that everyone was playing in the yard.
