We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends! Present were 10 adults & 10 kids. It was so much fun. We had WAY too much food (we had a Leftover Party on Saturday) but all of it was so delicious. N8 couldn't help but pat himself on the back multiple times ("...just look at it!!! it's falling off the bone!! do you see this??...") but it was definitely good.
These were our centerpiece decorations:
all of Eri's preschool Thanksgiving art-work.
They dyed a t-shirt with tea & then decorated~ he came up with his own Indian name of Running Boy. And on the turkey feathers, he told Ms Kathy what he was thankful for~ school, brownies (I have no idea where this came from!), my tractor, Ms Kathy, and his Mommy (awwww, tear). They made a litte photo art book with a picture of Eri banging on a drum inside (it was made of white paper bags) and a potholder with their hand print! There was so much more I couldn't believe how much we took home in 1 day.
The Big Green Egg opened up & N8 is rubbing the turkey skin with a butter & sage mixture he made. The turkey was ridiculously moist. It made the oven turkey seem LAME-O!
Making sure to pay attention to the turkey...while taking care of the kids. It's easy to multi-task when you have a turkey cooking outside & gorgeous weather.
The dads are helping themselves to the goods!
(I like how the Clorox wipes are aways within reach with so many kids around.)

The kids' table!
With moms & dads, of course.
I forgot to take pictures of the adult table. It was great! At one point, we were actually all sitting there!
Somehow...all people under 4 ft tall got hold of Akiko & Ozzy's Wii.
They were cracking up at all of the fun. It may also have been delirium, though...
