The Bird Dog Loves Birds

Birds!  Birds!  Birds!  Massy is loving these birds...although we did find a dead bird on the other side of the house (something tells me it was an "accident").  These birds also know that Massy will do nothing to them, except act as a security guard.  So...they are either messing with him (this is what N8 thinks), or they appreciate his attention.  They've even been so bold as to drink water from the dogs' bowl!  I have yet to capture that Kodak moment!

Massy was staring down 1 bird, when the 1 on the left flew into the scene.

Massy's stare down is about to be ruined by the brown dog.

Now the "usual" next step...after Massy stares down a bird, he then runs off to the next bird-stare-down-location.  Tucker eggs him on.

Tucker's work is now done...so he can slow down a bit.

This is the mini-fenced area of N8's garden.  The birds have taken refuge in the tomato plants on the left.  They are definitey taunting Massy.  He paces back & forth around the fenced area...gets yelled at if he attempts to stand on the fence...and will just sit & watch.  When Tucker thinks it's too quiet, he'll come and disturb the birds, or mess with Massy.

By the way, on the right in the garden is the broccoli & cabbage.  I think the last frost might have gotten it though.  Bummer!  We tasted the broccoli the other day just off the vine (??) and it was awesome!
