The Signs It's Auction Time

Let me take you back to early August...Lebanon, Ohio.
Well, maybe, the last day of July. The night before the Auction, everyone comes into town, reconnects with one another, creates all sorts of memories & take moments to reminisce. We were lucky to have great weather this year!
Our visit felt different this year. We didn't get to have the fun conversations & catch-ups with Grandma Trudie, having lost her in June. Our visit to Lebanon was certainly not the same, but we continue to look forward to it every time.

Leona was having fun on the "gator" (tractor) and if you can see in the background, the tents are set up for the auction.
Grandma Kay came prepared!
Smores for everyone! Especially desired by those under 3 feet who should not be holding a sharp, hot tool to cook marshmallows. Ahhh, well...Danger is Eri's middle name. He didn't seem to enjoy eating as much as he enjoyed cooking. Not my son.
Talia loves to give hugs!
Leona does too!
Courtney assists with the hugs.
Setting up camp near the horses & cows.
Getting the fire ready.
The Gator finally gets a rest.
Catching up with everyone.
Leona is trying to figure out this Courtney girl....
Aunt Cindy gets a chance to hold Leona.

Gee...are these two Father-Son???
Now let's get serious.
You drive what seems like endless hours to Lebanon.
You go to UDF (United Dairy Farmers) & order a chocolate malt (I like mine with bananas too).
Enough said.
I love this Smith tradition.
