Happy Earth Day 2009!

Whaddyagonnado for the Earth today?

This past weekend we took part in 'Keep Wichita Falls Beautiful' which I am ever so excited about! It's a promotional campaign to encourage the obvious~ keep/make WF super duper attractive as well as kindly suggesting others to recycle & consider ways to minimize wasteful ways. Their idea to keep the town beautiful is to encourage all to purchase red Crape Myrtles, which is a native Texan tree & shrub, and the town tree. We purchased a tree & 2 shrubs and I can't wait to see their pretty red flowers in the summer (uhh, brief viewing from us, if my summer travel plans kick in to high gear).

We were just invited by a friend to attend the nature center in town & have a picnic! And so, we're off!
