Swingset Setup Should Be Done During Naptime

N8's Grand Master Homemade Wooden Swingset idea came to a crashing halt when he came home from ToysRus with a plastic & metal (oh please, say no more!) swingset on Saturday. Through gritted teeth, he put up the swingset, with Eri's help...or what Eri thought was help.

We can no longer go visit Logan & Shane in NM as their swingset is so beyond cool, I'd really rather Eri & Leo not know how sweet life can be.

But just to prove an already obvious point- you never need to buy a gift for any kid, since all they'll do is play with the box...and also, in Eri's case, the nuts & bolts & parts of the swingset.

Eri was so excited to go down the slide...climb up the ladder...go down the slide...climb up the ladder...you get the picture.

Leo LOVES the swing. She was cracking up.

Massy decided the spot underneath Leo's swing was a perfect resting place, while Tucker kept his distance in fear of a crash landing.
We love having Grandma Wendy in town! She is able to incorporate yoga & diaper changing...with Eri's help, of course.
And this would be "down the slide."

Here you go, Tucker. We can play paddle ball now.

Our fruitless pear trees are blooming!
As one can see in this overexposed picture.

Swings make everyone happy.
Leo loves the swinging movement.
Mommy loves the completely locked in child.

  1. Funny updates....I'm still laughing......Massy probably likes the "breezes" coming from the swings. :-) Mom N.
