Il Padrino

Rich came to visit this past weekend. We're so happy that he's only a 2 hour drive away (temporarily)! Eri got to hang out with his godfather, which he most definitely thought was 'so cool'. By the end of the visit, he was saying "hey, man". Although Eri was calling him "Tim" (Eri knows two cool Tims...), he loved being around him and decided Rich was a keeper. He started telling him where & how to dig in the garden & what books to read to him. Hmmm, I wonder where he gets his directional skills.
Eri's not the only one who loves Rich.
By far, Rich is the most laid back person I know.
We feasted on steaks & pizza (compliments of the Egg) and drank lots and lots of beer & wine.
But that was only after harsh manual labor...as usual for our visitors!
Here, N8 & Rich are replanting the roses. The drainage in our yard is nonexistent. As is the grass. You can see where the mud puddles form oh-so-easily, as well as where all of the grass seed landed after lots of rain & wind.
Tim!
(No, Eri, that's Rich)
Rich!
Dig over here!We're digging!

Rich was definitely a good sport.
He read Eri's most favorite book~ Richard Scarry's Busy Busy Town.
The BEST book for a toddler!

A rare picture perfect moment!
