Our friends, Akiko & Ozzie along with little Sophianne joined the family for the holiday. Akiko made an AMAZING appetizer of tempura (am I spelling that correctly?)~ amazing veggies & shrimps battered and served with a flavored soy sauce. The coolest dish at our gathering. N8 wins best turkey. It was delicious. It was his first turkey ever! I was impressed. Wendy's homemade rolls were to die for. I'm so glad there were leftovers. Most different dish was the crunchy baked fennel from Food & Wine. A delicious addition. And Marti's endless desserts were so good. The rum balls alone! Man......the list goes on.
We then took Wendy back to the airport and joined the family down in Ft Worth. After playing outside & lounging around, we took a walk at Southlake shops. The coolest downtown area of endless stores and great Christmas lights & decorations. A great place to window shop or create your Christmas list!
