Normandy D-Day Beaches

A trip to coastal France for Labor Day weekend.
We had a great long weekend. We flew into Paris (CDG- again, the worst airport in the world) and rented a car to drive to Normandy. A wise idea in picking an airport 3+ hours away. Eri was more than thrilled to wake up early, have breakfast late, hang out at the airport, sit still during the flight, go through many transfers to pick up the rental, and then drive for hours. Best Planned Vacation with a 1 yr-Old to date. Can anyone beat that? We can start a competition, it will be fun....ok, enough with the sarcasm.
We stayed at a great B&B in Valognes. It had a great yard with a pond and tons of lawn furniture (see pictures of Eri exploring all of them). But N8 decided the place needed a pet- a dog or some cats for some character....and a hammock. Not that we would have had the chance to relax in it- Eri was on the go-go-go all day long.

This is the perfect picture to describe "Eri as he normally is".
He always has a hand gripping onto something for balance while he crouches down to explore something else.

I love this picture! Eri in the French countryside.
I...MUST....EAT....GRASS...CLIPPINGS....TASTES....SOOOOO....GOOD!
No Dad!! YOU'RE the funny one!
Another cute face- I think he was checking out the birds in the trees.
